Cassie - Veterinary Nurse
Cassie joined the clinic as a veterinary nurse after completing her studies in the Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing and the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience at La Trobe University. Since graduating, she has gained valuable experiences in medical and surgical nursing with us, alongside various other clinics, hospitals, and shelters.  Cassie has always been passionate about animals with most of her working life focusing on optimising animal care and wellbeing. Cassie is keen to put theory to practice and takes all opportunities to ensure ongoing learning in all areas of veterinary nursing to maximise the benefits and experience of patients and owners. Cassie began horse riding as a child and despite her parents hoping she would grow out of it, she is still an avid horse rider in her spare time and has now owned her beloved horse, Penny, for 8 years.  Cassie is also a proud fur mum to her adopted senior cat, Misty.

Dr Robyn Blackwell - Lead Vet
Robyn worked at OurVet from its inception for many years, and has returned after several years. She spent several years working in dedicated emergency clinics and in private practices in Melbourne.  Robyn was born and bred on a cattle property and grew up riding horses and helping care for many varied animals, both large and small. Robyn has always known she would become a vet. She graduated from Melbourne University in 1994, and worked in mixed practice for 12 years before moving to Geelong to focus on companion pets. Her special interests include small animal medicine and surgery, reproduction and toxicology. She genuinely enjoys helping both animals and owners, especially through difficult times. Robyn loves to spend her “down time” with her family and friends, enjoying the lovely surf coast and its surrounds.  Robyn has bred registered Burmese cats as well as horses and cattle. She currently shares her family home with a rambunctious German Shepherd, a cheeky Lhasa Apso and her cats.

Dr Sheryl - Associate Vet
Sheryl graduated from the University of Melbourne, she joined the lovely dedicated team at OurVet Geelong in 2024. Sheryl grew up with pets from a young age, and her love for animals has strongly motivated her to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary science and is passionate about looking after the health and well-being of all animals. With a keen interest in small animal medicine, Sheryl strives to provide the best care possible for her patients. In her free time, Sheryl enjoys being a foodie, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Gabby - Veterinary Nurse
Gabby joined the team as a student in 2023 while studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at the Gordon.  Since working with OurVet Geelong, she has taken a strong interest in surgery and hospital nursing.  While Gabby is not at the clinic, she spends her free time with her family and visiting her parents' hobby farm. Gabby has two dogs named Odin and Daisy and two cats named Nori and Jiji.

Mikki - Veterinary Nurse
Mikki joined the clinic as a veterinary nurse after completing her studies in Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing at The Gordon and Bachelor of Zoology and Animal Science at Deakin University. Since graduating, she has gained experience in all areas of small animal nursing and is striving to learn more about exotic wildlife. Mikki is not only passionate about animal health and welfare, but also in providing stellar customer service to all our clients and patients alike. Mikki is always striving to make everyone feel comfortable, happy and welcome in the clinic and is always up for having a chat. Mikki has always enjoyed the company of animals, having 3 cats at home, Stella, Toby and Bagel. In her spare time, Mikki enjoys getting stuck into a good book, playing soccer or eating out with her friends and family.

We are a small team of dedicated nurses and vets local to Geelong. 
We pride ourselves in providing exceptional veterinary service to our clients and furry patients. 
Our team of vets have extensive experience in emergency and preventive medicine. They will use all the tools in their toolbox to find the answers and care that your pet needs. This includes laboratory testing in house, radiology, cytology and most surgeries.
Our amazing and dedicated nurses have over 30 years of experience between them and care for animals great and small.
We provide veterinary care in a welcoming and stress free environment.
